March 2006 Cancer discovered as a lump under my right arm followed by more than 10 months of chemotherapy and eventual referral to City of Hope (COH), Duarte, CA, for the stem cell transplant program . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . August 2007 Three months after referral to COH, donor was identified and I was admitted to the hospital for the procedure, staying hospitalized for 27 days and then living for six months in home isolation . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
