At the registration desk for the event, all transplant patients were given a large round badge indicated their actual years of survival. As you can see with the inset picture, mine was modified to read: 250 days which arrives April 28.
While I am still on antibiotics in pill form, I have recovered from the recent bout with pneumonia and have been back in the office two days a week during the past two weeks.
Speaking of Friday's event, it was amazing to see such a large throng of humanity, patients with family and friends. Three of those attending got to meet face-to-face their donors for the first time.
