Showing up in my Facebook newsfeed lately have been a number of posts from #CANSWERISTS (cancer survivors or caregivers for same) about the GoFundMe practice, what some call Crowdsourcing. A web or Amazon search on the topic will produce ample information and ideas from those seasoned at the art of crowdsourcing.  Also, see ▶ crowdfunding

Local ▶ Canswerist

The City of Hope (COH) National Medical Center in Durate, CA, is known internationally for its work in cancer research and treatment.  That reputation means that locating this place is relatively simple.  Because of that reputation and due to the fact that I have lived and worked in Southern California since 1988, I may reason that COH would have probably been a top-of-mind choice for my care when I was diagnosed (DX) with mantle cell lymphoma in 2006.  Turns out that our landing at COH was due more to the recommendation of others and not my own guidance.

Thanks to the NCI Network patients may search for centers like COH and more than 60 other affiliates of the large cancer treatment network.

#CANSWERISTS I know in #SocialCurrentSee of these sites and beyond are generally a grateful group.  That's probably due to the fact that they know and relish life because of the second chance they have been given or the extended life a loved one has obtained.
