Mantle cell lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, comprising about 6% of NHL cases. MCL is a subtype of B-cell lymphoma, due to CD5 positive antigen-naive pregerminal center B-cell within the mantle zone that surrounds normal germinal center follicles. MCL cells generally over-express cyclin D1 due to a t(11:14) chromosomal translocation in the DNA. Specifically, the translocation is at t11;14.

Three items regarding mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) research hit my inbox in the last few days and all indicate a certain amount of #providence on the horizon for finding a lasting cure for MCL, if not other forms of lymphoma and lymphatic cancers.  Read the links here:

My personal experience with MCL dates from circa April Fool's Day 2006, the approximate date when Dee Dee and I returned from a week-long trip to Florida to visit Brother Bob and family and to participate in my 40th high school class reunion.  Just prior to that trip, I discovered a lump the size of a golf ball under my right arm.  That growth would later in April become diagnosed as MCL and so the survival journey began.

Soon after the confirmed diagnosis for MCL, I became an official web blogger about this cancer survival journey and all things MCL, including this SOURCE of links and content.

Secondary Immunodeficiency Disease (post allogeneic SCT for MCL)   They say that necessity is the mother of invention, archaic, yes, but applied often to the human experience.

Thus, it is my pleasure to admit that my recent introduction and use of ESSENTIAL OILs comes as a result of and in relief of my chronic bouts of bronchitis…

In good company

Although I am more than 12 years into the post-cancer (mantle cell lymphoma) diagnosis (DX) and confirmed, sustained remission (since 2010), I have not always been faithful about periodic and routine updates at this site (Blog For A Cure), but making an archive link of the above story prompts this update.
