Better have a dermatology appointment soon?

WEDNESDAY, Oct. 10 (HealthDay News) -- Transplant recipients and patients with lymphoma have a significantly increased risk of developing and dying from melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer, a new study indicates.

As a transplant patient and lymphoma survivor since 2006, I am well aware of this reality and grateful for the many specialists at City of Hope who tend to my care, along with the dermatologist in Orange County that I now see on a regular basis.  Last thing a cancer survivor wants is to receive a cure for one type of cancer and then get another type!  Grateful to be alive ...
