Marking a most significant 40th anniversary

Now at age 63, I realize and fully appreciate that (like many my age) my adult lifetime has seen great advances (and huge expenditures) to fight the battle against cancer.  ||

What I did not realize 40 years ago near the start of my adult life was that I would personally benefit by the success of the medical community in waging this fight.  I am a survivor of mantle cell lymphoma since 2006 and received a cutting-edge stem-cell transplant from an unrelated donor in 2007 as well as an advanced form of radiation (TomoTherapy) in 2009 to successfully bring remission, not once, but twice from the disease.  Read more of this story at this journal and HERE.
